Application Shortcut

To make an Application Shortcut:

Go to the windows button on the bottom left of your screen
Go to Programs and scroll until you find the application you are looking for
Then you want to right click and drag the icon of the application you would like to make a shortcut with
In the context menu select "Create shortcut here"
That will create a shortcut for that program on your desktop.
Right click the icon and select "Rename" to give it a meaningful name
